In 2020, Boston College and Pine Manor College signed an integration agreement that established the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success, featuring four components aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for underrepresented and first-generation students:

The Academy:Ìýa two-part experience, includes a residential Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) for students in grades 8–12 and Academic Year (AY) mentoring.

Mentoring and Academic Achievement: the home of of several academic support programs at Boston College, including McCrory-Francis Scholars.

Messina College: a two-year associate's degree college division of Boston College.Ìý

Alumni Outreach: provides early career services for graduates of the Academy, Mentoring and Academic Achievement programs, and Messina College.

The Pine Manor Institute for Student Success will help increase access to high quality education for underrepresented students. Boston College was founded in 1863 to help educate Boston’s immigrant community. The Pine Manor Institute represents an extension of our mission in response to societal needs.
