A week to raise awareness about sexual assault, rape, and intimate partner violence
The WC holds CARE Week during the spring semester to raise awareness about sexual assault and intimate partner violence on and off campus. Programming for the week focuses on raising awareness about sexual assault and intimate partner violence on and off campus.
Programs aim to educate students and provide resources about the following:
- The prevalence of sexual assault and rape on college campuses
- The definition of consent
- Ways to recognize and navigate unhealthy relationships
- How to support a friend who is a survivor of sexual assault
- Deconstructing the stigma associated with survivors of sexual assault
- How to be a proactive bystander
Throughout the week, students are informed about the on-campus resources available to them from SANet (Sexual Assault Network), Boston College Police Department, University Counseling Services, University Health Services, and the
Women鈥檚 Center.
Mass of Healing with聽Campus聽Ministry

Poster and T-Shirt Making

Standing in solidarity with survivors by creating shirts and posters to include at Take Back the Night.

Making the Invisible, Visible

Come get a flower to bring awareness to the prevalence of sexual violence on college campuses.
DISH Presents: Brownies and Boundaries

Join the AHANA+ Leadership Council by listening to Tarana Burke, an American activist and founder of the "Me Too" movement who has dedicated her work to supporting survivors of sexual violence.
Take Back the Night
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 6:30pm, Plaza at O'Neill Library
Join us for an evening dedicated to uplifting the voices of Survivors. Gather in community as we commit to ending sexual violence and intimate partner violence. Students are encouraged to bring their teammates, classmates, friends, and groupmates! Keep weather in mind as this is an outside event.
Open Mic Nite: A Night of Healing with A4U (Advocacy 4 U)

Healing in the Hatchery

End CARE Week with intentional reflection, music, and calming artistic creativity. Design jewelry, make simple syrup, perfume, and more!聽
After attending one or more CARE Week activities students will be better able to:
- Create a community of support for sexual assault survivors, which fosters empathy, encourages advocacy, and is conscious of individual potential to positively impact the community.
- Interpret cultural messages and systems that condone and perpetuate sexual violence.
- Know and apply 情色空间 resources in a given situation for oneself and peers.
- Indicate increased awareness of how sexual violence operates among different racial and ethnic communities.
- Recognize and intervene in different forms of sexual assault.
- Educate peers regarding sexual violence.
