Kemi is a Nigerian American from Houston, TX. She is majoring in both Finance and Accounting on the CPA track and has a minor in Sociology. She is passionate about social justice, equity, and inclusion, which shines through her position as a Bowman Advocate, where she facilitates workshops and events to enhance communication and problem-solving across diverse student populations. She hopes to exercise these same ideals at the Women's Center by helping to guide and support her peers to foster a safer space on campus. At ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä, Kemi is a Bowman Advocate at the BAIC, the president of the Nigerian Student Organization, and an Appalachian Volunteer. Outside of school, she enjoys taking walks, going to the gym, watching movies in theaters, and listening to music.

Elley is from a small town in Sweet Home Alabama. She is majoring in Global Public Health and the Common Good and hopes to use that background to become a more holistic midwife. She is passionate about women’s healthcare and specifically combating the maternal mortality rate in the southern United States. While she would love to join Doctors Without Borders for a few years, her long-term goal is to work in a birthing center in the southern U.S. On campus, Elley is involved in 4Boston, Student Admissions Program as a tour guide and panelist, and Prison Arts Outreach. When not in class, you can find her running the Esplanade, reading, or making her roommates watch a new TV show/movie with her.

Makayla is originally from Atlanta, Georgia but now resides in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She is an International Studies and Economics double major with a minor in Finance. Makayla is passionate about social justice issues, especially regarding the lack of education many girls around the world experience. In 2024 she started a nonprofit called Shades of Knowledge that works to provide access to resources that enhance students’ learning in schools around the world, including South Africa and Guatemala. Women and girls are the key to deescalating conflict and stabilizing communities but that can only happen if they have the chance to get an education, which is exactly what Makayla hopes to accomplish.

On campus Makayla is a class of 2028 senator on ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä's Undergraduate Student Government where she sits on the Academic Affairs Committee. Additionally, she is involved in ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä's only R&B acapella group, Black Experience in America Through Song (BEATS), Eaglemunc, a Model UN conference run for high schoolers, and serves as a Cura Facilitator.
In her free time Makayla enjoys listening to music, particularly Afrobeats and R&B, as well as working out. Makayla's hope is that anyone who walks into the Center leaves with a smile on their face and feels a sense of community and comfort.

Gabrielle Keeley is a student at Boston College, class of 2027, from Queens, New York, pursuing a double major in Finance and Sociology on the Pre-Law track. Passionate about social equity and institutional accountability, Gabrielle combines her business education with a deep commitment to justice and community formation. On campus, she serves as an RA and staff member at the Women’s Center, where she advocates for gender equity and wellness. Gabrielle’s work bridges hands-on service and leadership, and she aspires to pursue a career in law or policy where she can continue to uplift underrepresented voices and drive structural change.

Jackie is from Dallas, Texas, and is currently pursuing her associate’s degree in General Business at Messina College on the pre-law track. She plans to continue her studies at the Carroll School of Management as a member of the Class of 2029. As a first-generation, low-income Latina student, she is deeply committed to advocating for underrepresented communities and creating opportunities for others. She is passionate about AHANA+ representation, supporting survivors of sexual assault, and actively advocating for and helping others. With aspirations of pursuing a career in law, her interests are closely tied to social work and serving vulnerable populations, especially children and survivors. Her advocacy is grounded in a desire to create meaningful and lasting change. She first connected with the Women’s Center through volunteering during CARE Week and quickly found a sense of belonging within the space, valuing it as a community centered on empowerment, advocacy, and support. In her free time, she enjoys scrolling through Pinterest, going on walks, and attending concerts. Some of her favorite artists she has seen live include Wallows, Joji, and Sabrina Carpenter.

Ashley Molina is originally from Washington Township, NJ, and is majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Justice and Policy with a minor in Sociology, on a pre-law track. With these fields of study, Ashley is passionate about understanding social problems and systemic injustice, with the goal of pursuing policy and advocacy work, then practicing law. Ashley loves getting involved in advocacy, mentorship, research, and service programs on campus to develop her skills and connections. She loves her involvement with the Women’s Center, especially Bystander Intervention and Somos, because they provide spaces to build community and raise awareness of resources for other students. On campus, Ashley also serves as a Big in ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äBigs, a mentor in ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äDemocrats, a WZÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä AM radio show host, a 2026 Orientation Leader, and a McNair Scholar! In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking/running, thrifting, spending time with friends, and lots of talking (especially at the WC)!

Sana is from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is majoring in Political Science and Economics on the Pre-Law track. Sana hopes to pursue a career in law and is driven by her passion for justice and policy—especially when it comes to advancing gender rights. She became involved with the Women’s Center out of a deep love for community and a strong passion for women’s issues. Sana is extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve her community through the Women’s Center and raise her voice in advocacy. On campus, Sana serves as a choreographer for ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä Masti and holds a position at the Career Center as Peer Career Coach. In her free time, Sana loves to read, listen to music, try new bakeries, volunteer at local non-profits, and explore the city of Boston.

Layla, originally from Roselle, Illinois, is majoring in Mathematics and Economics. While she is still exploring her path after graduation, she is certain that her future will center on helping others. Passionate about advocacy and uplifting marginalized communities, Layla is especially excited to work in the Women’s Center and specifically, the Essence Project. She looks forward to building meaningful connections and forming new friendships. On campus, Layla is actively involved as a member of the Boston College Bystander Team and as an Endowed Scholar. In her free time, she enjoys building Legos, spending time with friends, and playing Roblox.

Olivia is from Syracuse, New York and has a concentration in Business Analytics in the Carroll School of Management, class of 2029. Olivia has competed in pageants since she was 6 years old, holding titles such as the National American Miss New York Teen. While home in New York, she dedicates her time to volunteering with Gigi’s Playhouse– a Down Syndrome achievement center– as well as Worth More Nation, where she is a board member and the Public Speaking Coordinator. On campus, she is involved with Women in Business, Free, Period, and is an office assistant in the catering department. She is a proud Endowed Scholar and a two-time Gold Presidential Service Award recipient. In her free time, you can find her taking walks, trying new coffee places, and reading as many novels as she has time for.

Katerina Trantzas was raised in Westchester, New York. She is pursuing a double major in Biology and Philosophy with hopes of attending medical school after graduation. She has a passion for women's health, AHANA+ representation, and supporting survivors of sexual assault. In her future career, Katerina hopes to use her studies in medicine and women's health issues to assist in the fight to end the cycle of human trafficking. Through her time volunteering, she recognized the environment of empowerment and belonging at the WC and sought to help foster this environment in the Boston College community. Outside of the WC, Katerina works to help keep Boston College a safer campus as an EMT with ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äEMS.

When not in class, you can find her studying outside on the grass, or playing intramural tennis with her friends.

Marissa (Riss) is from Thomaston, Connecticut, and is a rising senior. She is majoring in Applied Psychology & Human Development and Theology and is in the Master's in Social Work program. She hopes to pursue a career in social work and is very passionate about the intersection of faith and social justice. On campus, some of her favorite things Riss is involved in are Prison Arts Outreach as the president, Appa as a student leader, ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä Bigs as a family leader, and Rosie’s Place as an English Second Language Teacher. One of her most transformative experiences at ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä (aside from working at the lovely WC) was participating in Arrupe, and she could not recommend it more! She recommends going on ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä retreats like Pause and Pray, Halftime, Kairos, and more, and loves to talk about anything related to the Volunteer Service Learning Center and Campus Ministry. Outside of ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä, Riss holds an associate’s degree in legal studies and is a certified paralegal. She has four little sisters she loves more than anything and is proud of being from the boondocks. When she is not adding things to her Google Calendar (that she obeys religiously), you could find Riss playing pick-up basketball, reading, hiking, participating in intramural sports, or going on a res-walk with a friend. Marissa loves working at the Women’s Center and learning from all the beautiful people there!

Caroline was raised in Houston, Texas and Dubai, UAE. She is majoring in Psychology on a pre-health track. She first became involved in the Women’s Center out of an interest in finding a community with other ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä students who were just as passionate about addressing women’s issues and fostering inclusion as she is. She has felt incredibly empowered in the space and hopes to help others find a sense of belonging too. She is passionate about nutrition, mental health, and social justice and hopes to apply her love for education, connection, and advocacy to a career addressing global health disparities. Caroline is also involved in Eagles for Wellness, Student Health Equity Forum, and a life coaching group for middle school girls. She loves how intersectional all of these activities have been! When she is not in class, you can find Caroline going for walks or picnics, exploring every corner of Boston, dancing or doing Pilates, or having a movie night.
