Mission and History
The Council's mission is to bring together members of the technology and entrepreneurship communities to help advance the mission of Boston College.ÌýÌý
The Tech and Entrepreneurship Council’s three main goals are:
- Provide networking and career development opportunities for ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä alumni and entrepreneurs in the technology industry
- Serve as a resource for current Boston College students interested in technology and entrepreneurship
- Increase philanthropic giving to Boston College from Council members

ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äTEC on the east coast features a variety of programming in both Boston and New York City. Topics are related to both technology and entrepreneurship, and events appeal to a broad cross-section of alumni in both cities.
Signature Featured Speaker Event
Annual signature event featuring speakers of interest to a wide variety of alumni working in technology and entrepreneurial related fields. Past speakers include Bill Clerico '07 (WePay), Neil Blumenthal (Warby Parker), Alejandro Bedoya '09 (Major League Soccer Player & Investor), Philip Schiller '82 (Apple) and Matt Kalish MBA'09 (DraftKings).
Tech on Tap
Tech on Tap is part of the Council’s regular series of informal gatherings throughout New York City and Boston, offering ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼ä alumni the opportunity to connect with like-minded alumni, share their insights and knowledge, exchange ideas, and make valuable new connections.
Shea Center Support
Throughout the year, the Council partners with the Edmund H. Shea Jr. Center for Entrepreneurship by connecting current undergraduate and graduate students at Boston College with the University’s extensive network of alumni who have started their own business ventures and/or launched careers at start-ups or small businesses.
